Ann L Hallock , LCSW

Ann Hallock has Masters Degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Social Work. With over 30 years of therapy experience with adults, families and children in a variety of settings she is interested in the problems of young adults and has worked with students in university settings. Suzy Haskins, M.A.

Pat Henderson, M.A.

Pat received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 1986 and has maintained a private practice in Whatcom County since 1987.  Her practice has been formed by Family Systems Theory,  Self Psychology, Inter-subjectivity Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory,  as well as more pragmatic brief, problem-solving approaches.  Although she believes that current context is crucial to a clients issues, she also believes that early life experiences and relationships are fundamentally important in the meanings we attribute to present-day experience.  Her work involves in-depth evaluation and assessment of treatment needs for each individual (child, adolescent, adult), couple, or family.  The course of treatment is guided by each relationship and diagnoses that arise from the evaluation.  Pat has a broad-based practice, but has particular experience in  working with adolescents and adults with mood disorders as well as children and adults with sexual reactivity/aggression issues.  Pat has a thorough knowledge of community resources and has strong working relationships with community providers.  In addition to her work with Watson Therapy Associates she is a  school counselor in the Ferndale School District .  For appointments call   360.676.1513.

Joseph W. Lenz, Ph.D.

Dr. Lenz has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Science in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Western Washington University.  He has done therapy and assessments in a variety of settings including hospital inpatient psychiatry ward, community outpatient clinic, and several research programs.  Although he likes to do therapy with varied patients and problems, Dr. Lenz specializes in health psychology and in treating anxiety disorders including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder and anxiety complicated trauma or medical illness.  His treatment orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral for specific problems and Interpersonal for bigger issues.  He does diagnostic and personality testing in addition to therapy.  He works with adolescents, teens, and children and does therapy with individuals, couples, groups, and families.  For appointments call 360.714.0830  Ext.  103

Joan Wildfield, M.A.

Joan Wildfield has a Masters Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University with an emphasis on Systems Counseling.  Her expertise is in Cognitive Behavioral treatment of SBD children and their families of origin.  She is also particularly interested in art therapy; with which she has had over 5 years experience and wrote about for an undergraduate major research paper.  Joan's therapeutic orientation is derived primarily from three basic approaches: (1) Humanistic Psychology-particularly Rogerian Client Centered Therapy,  (2) Systemic Family Therapy-specifically Family of Origin Therapy and, (3) Behavioral Therapy -especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Joan's office is at the Bellingham Towers.  For appointments call 360.714.0830  Ext. 104.

W. Douglas Uhl, Psy.D.

Dr. Uhl, at age 45, after being a Certified Mental Health Counselor for 15 years returned to graduate school and obtained a doctorate in psychology at age 49.    At age 50 he became a licensed psychologist.  After working in mental health clinics, drug and alcohol assessment and treatment programs he was privileged to trained in a mental health hospital in British Columbia.  He then extended that training and expertise through extensive training in psychopharmacology.  Dr. Uhl works with adolescents and adults, specializing in addictions and abuse (emotional, mental, physical, and sexual) as well as the seriously mentally ill.  He has training and experience working with anxiety disorders, and because of his own aging process has a particular interest in mental health issues associated with geriatric patients.   For appointments call  360.647.4999.
